Senior Subsea Engineer - Energy Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Subsea Engineer to contribute to their diverse portfolio of energy projects in Liverpool . This role demands extensive expertise in the design, installation, and operation of subsea systems for oil, gas, and increasingly, renewable energy applications. You will be instrumental in developing innovative solutions for challenging deepwater environments, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of subsea infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of subsea equipment, including pipelines, risers, and structures , for offshore energy developments.
• Develop technical specifications, P&IDs, and installation procedures for subsea systems.
• Conduct advanced analysis such as FEA and CFD to ensure the integrity and performance of subsea components.
• Manage subsea engineering scope within projects, liaising with clients, suppliers, and installation contractors.
• Oversee and participate in the fabrication, testing, and installation phases of subsea projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in subsea engineering , preferably within the offshore oil & gas or renewable energy sectors.
• Proficiency in subsea design software and analysis tools, including FEA and CFD .
• Strong understanding of pipeline design, marine operations, and subsea installation techniques.
• Experience with integrity management and risk assessment of subsea assets.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
