Senior Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Subsea Engineer to join their offshore operations team, based in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for the design, installation, and lifecycle management of subsea production systems within the demanding Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for leading engineering activities, ensuring the integrity and performance of subsea equipment, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions for challenging deepwater projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of subsea hardware, installation techniques, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, specification, and procurement of subsea production equipment, including trees, manifolds, and umbilicals.
• Develop and execute subsea installation procedures, ensuring compliance with project schedules and safety standards.
• Oversee the integrity management and maintenance strategies for subsea assets throughout their operational life.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, suppliers, and installation contractors, to ensure project success.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for subsea scopes of work.
• Provide expert technical support for offshore operations and troubleshoot subsea system issues.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in subsea engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
• In-depth knowledge of subsea hardware design, manufacturing, testing, and installation.
• Experience with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO).
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects and interface with various stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, controls, and structural aspects of subsea systems.
