Senior Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Subsea Engineer to join their team based in Plymouth . This role is crucial for the design, analysis, and integrity management of subsea production systems for offshore oil and gas projects. You will be involved in all phases of subsea development, from conceptual design through to installation and commissioning, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of subsea infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, pipelines, and umbilical systems.
• Conduct structural, thermal, and flow assurance analysis for subsea components and systems.
• Develop installation procedures and support offshore operations during campaign execution.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ISO) and company specifications for subsea projects.
• Perform risk assessments and integrity management studies for existing subsea assets.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Ocean Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering, preferably within the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of subsea hardware, interfaces, and installation methods.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software for design and analysis.
• Experience with project management and offshore campaign planning.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and client-facing role.
