Senior Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Subsea Engineer to contribute to critical projects within the Oil & Gas industry, based in Plymouth . This role focuses on the design, fabrication, installation, and operation of subsea production systems. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of subsea equipment, flow assurance, and field architecture to ensure the successful execution of complex offshore developments. Joining a team of highly skilled professionals, you will play a key part in delivering innovative solutions for challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, and umbilical systems.
• Develop and execute subsea installation and commissioning plans.
• Perform flow assurance studies to ensure the reliable transportation of hydrocarbons from the seabed to shore.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for subsea systems and operations.
• Manage interfaces between subsea systems and topside facilities.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of subsea components.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in subsea engineering , preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
• In-depth knowledge of subsea hardware, installation methods, and associated risks.
• Experience with flow assurance calculations and software.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ISO) for subsea systems.
