About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Subsea Engineer to join their offshore projects team based in the Oxford area. This role is central to the design, installation, and operation of subsea production systems, ensuring their integrity and optimal performance. You will lead technical aspects of subsea developments, manage interfaces with other disciplines, and contribute to the planning and execution of subsea field infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of subsea hardware, flow assurance, and project management, working effectively within a hybrid model that balances remote analysis with essential site or office collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, specification, and qualification of subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, and pipelines.
- Develop and review subsea system installation procedures and operational plans.
- Conduct flow assurance studies and risk assessments for subsea developments.
- Manage interfaces with EPCI contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Provide technical expertise during the fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies for subsea operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in subsea engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of subsea hardware, umbilical systems, and SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines).
- Experience with subsea system design software and simulation tools.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical reviews.
