Senior Subsea Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Subsea Engineer to join their expanding engineering department in Bradford . This crucial role involves the design, analysis, and specification of subsea production systems for offshore oil and gas projects. You will lead technical efforts in developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for subsea field developments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, structural engineers, and installation specialists. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in subsea equipment, flow assurance, and installation methodologies, contributing significantly to the successful delivery of complex offshore infrastructure projects and driving technological advancements in the sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual and detailed design of subsea production systems , including trees, manifolds, and umbilical systems.
• Perform structural, mechanical, and hydraulic analysis of subsea equipment and components.
• Develop and review technical specifications, fabrication drawings, and testing procedures for subsea hardware.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ISO) and client requirements for all subsea designs.
• Collaborate with installation teams to develop safe and efficient offshore installation procedures for subsea infrastructure.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, testing, and offshore commissioning phases.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the subsea engineering field, preferably within the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in subsea equipment design, analysis software (e.g., FEA), and relevant industry codes.
• Strong understanding of subsea field layout, flow assurance principles, and installation challenges.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
