About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Subsea Engineer to lead critical projects from their office in Wolverhampton . This role demands expertise in the design, analysis, fabrication, and installation of subsea systems for offshore oil and gas facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and performance of subsea structures, pipelines, and equipment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors. This is a key position contributing to the successful delivery of complex offshore projects, demanding a deep understanding of marine environments and structural engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integrity management of subsea structures, pipelines, and associated equipment.
- Perform detailed structural analysis, including hydrodynamic loads , fatigue analysis, and stress calculations.
- Develop detailed specifications for subsea components and installation procedures.
- Manage subsea engineering contractors and oversee fabrication and installation activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., DNV, API).
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and offshore operations teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on the subsea team.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Naval Architecture Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering within the offshore oil and gas industry .
- Proven expertise in subsea system design, analysis, and installation methodologies.
- Proficiency in relevant software packages for structural analysis (e.g., ANSYS, OrcaFlex) and pipeline design .
- Strong understanding of materials science, welding procedures, and corrosion protection for subsea applications.
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
