About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Subsea Engineer to join their expanding team in Bristol , focusing on the burgeoning offshore renewables sector. This role is crucial for the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea systems and equipment for offshore wind farms and other marine energy projects. You will contribute to the development of vital infrastructure, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of subsea components in challenging marine environments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and specification of subsea systems , including umbilicals, cables, anchors, and foundations.
- Develop installation procedures and methodologies for subsea equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Manage subsea engineering activities throughout project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for subsea operations.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of subsea installations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in subsea engineering , preferably within the offshore oil & gas or renewable energy sectors.
- Proven experience in the design and analysis of subsea structures, pipelines, and dynamic systems.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., DNVGL, ISO).
- Experience with FEA software and hydrodynamic analysis tools.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
