Senior Subsea Field Engineer

About the Role

Our client seeks a diligent and experienced Senior Subsea Field Engineer to be part of their offshore operations support team, based out of Plymouth . This role involves providing critical technical expertise and hands-on support during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of subsea equipment and systems. You will play a key part in ensuring the successful execution of offshore campaigns, resolving technical challenges in real-time, and maintaining the integrity of subsea assets. The successful candidate will be adaptable, resilient, and possess strong practical engineering skills in a challenging marine environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical supervision and support during subsea installation and intervention operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair subsea equipment, including Xmas trees, manifolds, and control modules.
• Conduct pre-installation checks, commissioning, and performance testing of subsea hardware.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company protocols during offshore activities.
• Compile detailed offshore operational reports and provide feedback for design improvements.
• Manage spares, tools, and equipment required for offshore execution campaigns.

Requirements

• HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a field engineering role, specifically within the subsea oil and gas sector .
• Proven experience with subsea equipment, hydraulics, and control systems.
• Ability to work offshore for extended periods, often in demanding conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential for this role supporting operations from Plymouth .
