About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Subsurface Analyst to join their remote-based technical team. This role is integral to the evaluation and understanding of subsurface assets, focusing on data integration, interpretation, and the generation of insights that drive exploration and development strategies. You will work extensively with geological, geophysical, and engineering data, utilizing advanced analytical tools and techniques to assess resource potential and identify risks. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the company's subsurface understanding and strategic decision-making, all within a fully remote work environment that fosters autonomy and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate and interpret diverse subsurface data sets, including seismic, well logs, core data, and production information.
- Develop and refine geological and reservoir models to accurately represent subsurface complexity and uncertainty.
- Perform detailed volumetric assessments and resource estimations for exploration and development opportunities.
- Conduct geological risk assessments and uncertainty analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate effectively with remote teams of geoscientists, reservoir engineers, and geophysicists through virtual communication channels.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, maps, and presentations for internal stakeholders and management review.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in subsurface evaluation , reservoir characterization, or exploration geoscience within the oil and gas industry .
- Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, or a related geoscience discipline.
- Expertise in subsurface data interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Geolog, Landmark).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to manage and interpret large datasets.
- Excellent understanding of geological principles, seismic interpretation, and reservoir modeling concepts.
- Exceptional remote communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
