Senior Supply Chain Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Engineer to optimize their logistics and distribution networks. This role, based in Glasgow , focuses on enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the entire supply chain. You will be responsible for analyzing complex logistical challenges and implementing innovative solutions that improve inventory management, transportation, and warehousing operations. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, including inventory management, demand forecasting, and logistics.
• Design and implement strategies to reduce transportation costs, improve delivery times, and enhance warehouse efficiency.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques and software to model and simulate supply chain scenarios.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, manufacturing, sales) and external partners (suppliers, carriers) to ensure seamless operations.
• Lead projects focused on implementing new supply chain technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain engineering or logistics management.
• Strong understanding of supply chain optimization principles, forecasting techniques, and inventory control strategies.
• Proficiency with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM) and advanced analytical tools.
