Senior Support Worker

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join their compassionate team in Leicester . You will play a key part in leading shifts, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring that care plans are meticulously implemented and reviewed. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of support workers during shifts, providing guidance and support.
• Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
• Assist residents with personal care, medication, daily living activities, and emotional support, ensuring dignity and respect.
• Conduct regular assessments of residents' needs and update care plans accordingly, documenting all observations and interventions accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety standards.
• Facilitate social activities and engagement to promote residents' mental and emotional well-being.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Support Worker , with at least 1-2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care principles and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and supporting individuals to live fulfilling lives.
