About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Southampton . This pivotal role involves providing high-quality care and support to clients, whilst also offering guidance and leadership to a team of support workers. You will be involved in client assessments, care plan development, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of services, blending on-site presence with remote management capabilities. This hybrid role allows for effective coordination of care within the Hampshire area, ensuring that clients receive consistent and compassionate support. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, families, and the wider care team, contributing to a positive and professional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to clients, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers, providing guidance and supervision.
- Conduct client assessments and contribute to the development and review of care plans.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with families, external agencies, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Handle complex client situations and manage emergencies effectively.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Support Worker, with proven leadership capabilities.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of care planning, risk assessment, and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, including some weekend and evening shifts as needed in Southampton .
