About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Tax Accountant to join their fully remote finance team. This position plays a crucial role in managing the company's tax compliance and planning strategies across various jurisdictions. You will be responsible for ensuring all tax obligations are met accurately and efficiently, while identifying opportunities for tax optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tax legislation and a strong analytical mindset, contributing to the financial strategy and compliance of the organization from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file all company tax returns accurately and on time (Corporation Tax, VAT, etc.).
- Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date with changes in tax law.
- Identify and implement strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external tax advisors.
- Support the finance team with tax-related queries and planning initiatives.
Requirements
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CTA with significant experience in corporate taxation.
- Proven track record in managing complex tax compliance and advisory work.
- In-depth knowledge of UK tax legislation and international tax principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
