About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Tax Advisor to lead their tax function remotely, with occasional travel to Plymouth as needed. This role involves managing all aspects of corporate and personal taxation, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic tax planning advice to optimise tax efficiency for the company and its stakeholders. You will be instrumental in navigating complex tax legislation and contributing to the overall financial strategy from a tax perspective. This is a key role for an expert in taxation, offering flexibility and significant responsibility within a forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on all UK tax matters, including corporate tax, VAT, and PAYE.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimise tax liabilities and manage risk.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax returns and compliance requirements.
- Advise on the tax implications of business transactions, investments, and restructuring.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise on their impact.
- Liaise with HMRC and external tax advisors when necessary.
Requirements
- Qualified Tax Advisor (CTA, ACA, ACCA with a tax specialisation) with significant experience.
- Deep understanding of UK corporate and personal tax legislation.
- Proven ability to provide strategic tax planning advice.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.
