About the Role

This role is vital for optimizing art assets, developing tools and pipelines, and solving complex technical challenges within the arts and entertainment development cycle. You will collaborate closely with artists, programmers, and designers to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of visual elements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain art pipelines and tools to improve workflow efficiency and asset quality.
• Create and implement high-quality 3D assets, including models, textures, and shaders, ensuring performance optimization.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate art assets into the game engine or real-time rendering environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to art assets, rendering, and engine performance.
• Create and maintain documentation for tools, pipelines, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the art team, fostering skill development in technical art areas.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Artist or in a related role within the game development or CG industry.
• Strong proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender) and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter/Designer).
• Expertise in real-time engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity, including shader creation and performance optimization.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL) for tool development.
• Excellent understanding of art fundamentals, including form, color, lighting, and composition.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
