About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Telecoms Installation Engineer to join their expanding operations based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This critical role involves the physical installation, configuration, and commissioning of telecommunications equipment, including fibre optic networks and associated infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing directly to the delivery of reliable communication services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take on more responsibility and lead installation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the installation of telecommunications infrastructure, including fibre optic cables, conduits, and related hardware.
• Configure and commission network equipment, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
• Perform site surveys and interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan installation activities.
• Conduct rigorous testing and quality assurance checks post-installation to verify performance and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior installation team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in telecoms installation or a related field.
• Proficiency in fibre optic splicing, termination, and testing techniques.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cabling standards, and installation best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent practical skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driving licence and commitment to working on-site across various locations within the Stoke-on-Trent area.
