About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Telecoms Network Architect to join their forward-thinking team in Oxford . You will be responsible for designing and evolving the company's core telecommunications network infrastructure, ensuring scalability, resilience, and optimal performance for future growth. This role demands a deep understanding of complex network technologies and the ability to translate business objectives into robust, future-proof technical designs. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the overall architecture for the company's telecommunications network .
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for network enhancement and innovation.
• Develop technical roadmaps and strategies for network evolution and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure architectural alignment and successful implementation.
• Create detailed design documentation, including network diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship on complex network design and implementation challenges.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience (8+ years) in network architecture and design, with a strong focus on telecommunications networks .
• In-depth knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, SDN/NFV, and cloud networking.
• Experience with network security principles and implementation.
• Proven ability to architect complex, scalable, and highly available network solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
