About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Telecoms Network Architect to join their team in Glasgow . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the architectural vision and strategic roadmap for the company's telecommunications network .
• Design high-level and detailed technical solutions for new network services and infrastructure upgrades.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact and recommending adoption strategies.
• Lead the technical governance process, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product management, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in telecommunications network design and architecture, with a significant portion in senior roles.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, complex networks utilizing various technologies (e.g., MPLS, BGP, SDN, NFV, 5G).
• Strong understanding of cloud networking principles and their application in a telecoms environment.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly.
