About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Telecoms Network Planner to join their team in Norwich, Norfolk . This role is essential for the long-term development and optimisation of the company's telecommunications network infrastructure. You will be responsible for forecasting future network needs, planning capacity expansions, and ensuring that network resources are allocated efficiently to support business growth and service demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network technologies, capacity management principles, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable network plans. This role requires presence in the office for collaboration and planning sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop long-term capacity plans for the telecommunications network, forecasting future demand.
• Analyze network traffic data and performance metrics to identify areas for growth and improvement.
• Plan and design network expansion projects, considering technology evolution and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of planned network changes.
• Evaluate new network technologies and their potential impact on future capacity requirements.
• Develop and maintain network planning documentation, including roadmaps and resource allocation strategies.
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into network plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecoms network planning , capacity management, or network design.
• In-depth knowledge of telecommunications network architectures, including wireless, fiber, and IP networks.
• Proficiency with network planning tools and capacity modeling software.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis for network forecasting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
