About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Security Specialist to bolster their security operations in Brighton . In this critical hybrid role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our client's telecommunications network and data. You will lead initiatives to identify vulnerabilities, implement robust security measures, and respond to emerging threats. This position requires a deep understanding of network security principles within the telecommunications landscape and a proactive approach to threat mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive network security strategies and policies for the telecom infrastructure.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Monitor security alerts and events, investigating and responding to potential security breaches.
• Design and manage security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption technologies.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities affecting the telecommunications industry.
• Provide security expertise and guidance to engineering and operations teams, fostering a security-aware culture.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in telecoms network security or cybersecurity, with a focus on infrastructure protection.
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols, encryption techniques, and threat mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency with security tools and platforms, including SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls.
• Experience in designing and implementing secure network architectures.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents in a hybrid work model .
