About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Senior Telecoms Solutions Architect to lead the strategic design of their telecommunications infrastructure, operating in a fully remote capacity with a focus on Southampton 's operational sphere. This senior position requires a deep understanding of current and emerging telecom technologies to architect scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions that align with business objectives. You will play a crucial role in defining the technical roadmap, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring that the proposed architectures meet complex requirements for performance, security, and future growth, making a significant impact on the company's technological direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design end-to-end telecommunications solutions encompassing mobile, fixed-line, and cloud-based services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and vendors to enhance network capabilities and efficiency.
• Develop high-level and detailed technical design documentation, including network diagrams and integration strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the lifecycle of solution implementation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in telecoms architecture or a similar senior technical design role.
• In-depth knowledge of mobile network technologies (4G/5G), fibre optics, IP networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to design complex, scalable, and secure network solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
