About the Role
Our client is seeking an analytical and experienced Senior Telecoms Systems Analyst to join their technology division in Sheffield . This crucial role involves analysing complex telecommunications systems, identifying areas for improvement, and translating business requirements into technical specifications. You will play a key part in enhancing the efficiency, performance, and functionality of our client's network and service platforms. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in telecoms, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail, contributing to strategic technology decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse the performance and functionality of existing telecommunications systems and applications.
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Design and propose system enhancements and solutions to improve network performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Develop detailed technical specifications and functional designs for new system features and integrations.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of system changes.
- Conduct system testing, UAT support, and post-implementation reviews.
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies, network protocols, and service delivery mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques and systems documentation.
- Experience with data analysis and performance metrics reporting.
