Senior Town Planner Location: London Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
A multidisciplinary consultancy offering a broad range of planning and architectural services across the industrial, commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors is looking to expand its London team. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Town Planner to join them at an exciting stage of growth.

Delivering strategic and detailed planning advice to clients and project teams Carrying out planning appraisals and highlighting development opportunities and constraints Shaping and delivering planning strategies across a variety of development schemes Overseeing the preparation and submission of full, outline and hybrid planning applications Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants Engaging and negotiating with local planning authorities and other stakeholders Handling planning conditions, amendments, variations and associated submissions Assisting with, and where suitable leading, planning appeals Providing advice on Section 106 agreements and related planning obligations Drafting representations on development plans and emerging planning policy Helping to promote sites through the plan-making processRequirements for the Senior Town Planner:
An RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a closely related discipline Chartered RTPI membership, or actively working towards it Substantial experience within a planning consultancy, development company, architectural practice or similar setting Sound understanding of the UK planning system and the development management process Track record of managing planning applications from initial concept through to determination Experience in commercial, industrial, logistics, employment or mixed-use projects would be an advantage Ability to shape clear, commercially realistic planning strategies Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and external consultants Confidence engaging with local planning authorities and other stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational and project management skills Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team A commercial mindset with a good grasp of clients' development goalsTo apply for this role, please call Sophie on (phone number removed) or alternatively, send your CV and Portfolio across to .
