About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned and strategic Senior Transport Planner to join their expanding team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from any location within the UK. You will be responsible for designing and implementing sophisticated transport plans that optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely delivery of goods across our network. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic transport plans, optimizing routes, schedules, and vehicle utilization across the national network.
• Utilize advanced transport planning software and data analytics to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with operational teams, drivers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transport plans.
• Monitor transport performance metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to maintain service levels.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international transport regulations, including driver hours and emissions standards.
• Lead projects focused on improving transport operations, such as introducing new routing technologies or optimizing delivery models.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in transport planning, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on route optimization.
• Proficiency in advanced transport planning software (e.g., Llamasoft, PTV) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, fleet operations, and geographical considerations.
