Senior UI/UX Designer - Product Focus

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer with a strong focus on product development to join their team in Oxford . You will be instrumental in crafting intuitive, user-centered designs for their cutting-edge digital products, ensuring a seamless and delightful user experience from conception to launch. This role offers the opportunity to lead design initiatives, collaborate closely with product managers and engineers, and make a significant impact on the usability and success of their software solutions, driving innovation in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for new product features and enhancements, from user research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Develop and maintain detailed user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate closely with product managers to define product requirements and ensure user needs are met.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure the accurate and high-quality implementation of designs.
• Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of the company's design system and style guides.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing product design expertise.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale effectively.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
