Senior UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior UX/UI Designer to lead user experience initiatives for their digital products, operating remotely with ties to their Oxford location. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a proven ability to create intuitive, engaging, and visually stunning interfaces. You will be responsible for guiding the design process from research and concept development through to final implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned designer to influence product strategy and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and user experience for complex digital products, from initial concept to final execution.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and style guides to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define product vision and requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of design excellence.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a UX/UI Designer , with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design and a strong visual design sensibility.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Deep understanding of user psychology, interaction design, information architecture, and usability principles.
• Experience leading design projects and working effectively in an agile development environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in Oxford .
