About the Role
Our client, a forward-thinking urban design consultancy, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Urban Designer for a fully remote position. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cities and communities, contributing to large-scale masterplanning and regeneration projects. This role requires a creative thinker with a deep understanding of urban planning principles, sustainable development, and community engagement. Working remotely, you will collaborate with a national team of experts, leveraging digital tools to develop innovative and inclusive urban environments that enhance quality of life and promote sustainable growth across the UK .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of masterplans and strategic urban design frameworks.
- Conduct spatial analysis, site feasibility studies, and policy research.
- Engage with stakeholders, local authorities, and community groups to foster collaborative design processes.
- Prepare high-quality visualisations, reports, and design documentation using advanced software.
- Mentor junior urban designers and contribute to the strategic direction of the consultancy.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
- Significant professional experience in urban design, masterplanning, and regeneration projects.
- Expertise in GIS , AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modelling software.
- Strong understanding of planning policy, sustainability principles, and public realm design.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, adept for remote interaction.
