Senior UX Designer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a visionary Senior UX Designer to join their dynamic creative team in Leicester . You will be instrumental in shaping the user experience across a range of digital products, ensuring they are intuitive, engaging, and meet user needs effectively. This role offers the chance to lead design projects from concept to completion, collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant user-centered solutions. You will be a key voice in advocating for the user, driving innovation, and fostering a design-led culture within the organisation, working on projects that have a significant impact on user satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into user behaviours and needs.
• Create user personas, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize design concepts.
• Lead the design process for new features and product enhancements, ensuring adherence to usability best practices and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to define user requirements and deliver seamless user experiences.
• Present design solutions and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine designs iteratively.
• Stay abreast of the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital product design work.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting user research and translating findings into actionable design recommendations.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
