Senior UX Researcher

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior UX Researcher to join their user-centric product development team in Sheffield . In this critical role, you will lead research initiatives to uncover deep user insights, driving the design and development of intuitive and impactful digital products. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform product strategy and user experience. This position offers the chance to shape user-centered design processes and directly influence product direction within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and conduct user research studies using a variety of methodologies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiry.
• Analyze research data to identify key user needs, pain points, and behaviors, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate user feedback throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Present research findings and insights clearly and compellingly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to represent user understanding.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the continuous improvement of UX research practices within the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in user experience research, with a strong portfolio demonstrating research methodologies and impact.
• Proficiency in planning and executing both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience with usability testing platforms and remote research tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• A degree in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field is preferred.
