Senior UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join their dedicated product development team based in Sunderland . This role is crucial in shaping intuitive and engaging user experiences for their digital platforms. You will lead the design process from research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and final UI design, working closely with developers and product managers. The ideal candidate is passionate about user-centered design and has a proven track record of creating impactful digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and identify user needs.
• Create user personas, user journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to visualize design solutions.
• Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of designs.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate design decisions to stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
