Senior UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Senior UX/UI Designer to join their team in Derby . This role is central to crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences across our client's digital platforms. You will lead the design process from research and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups and prototyping, ensuring user-centered design principles are applied throughout. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both user experience research and user interface design, contributing to a creative and collaborative environment within the Derby office.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
• Create user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Develop high-fidelity visual designs, style guides, and UI kits.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy.
• Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product lifecycle.
• Stay current with UX/UI trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital products.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Solid understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Experience designing for web and mobile applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
