Senior UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Senior UX/UI Designer to join their rapidly expanding digital product team, based remotely but with a hub in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences for their cutting-edge software applications. This role demands a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, a passion for creating seamless interactions, and the ability to translate user needs into elegant visual solutions. You will play a critical role in defining the future of our client's digital offerings, working in a fully remote, collaborative environment that fosters innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and persona development to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI kits to ensure consistency across all products.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of design vision and requirements.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that design decisions are data-driven and user-centric.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, A/B testing results, and analytics data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
• Expertise in user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Solid understanding of web and mobile design principles , accessibility standards, and responsive design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale effectively.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
