About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly imaginative and skilled Senior VFX Artist to join their dynamic team in Belfast . In this remote role, you will be responsible for creating stunning visual effects that enhance the narrative and visual impact of our projects. You will work closely with the art and design teams to conceptualize, develop, and implement breathtaking particle effects, simulations, and post-processing effects, ensuring they are both artistically compelling and technically optimized. Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, and implement high-quality visual effects (VFX) using particle systems, shaders, and simulation tools.
- Collaborate with directors and other artists to define the visual style and technical requirements for VFX.
- Optimize VFX assets for real-time performance, ensuring smooth playback and efficient resource usage.
- Develop and refine VFX pipelines, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and artistic quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to VFX implementation and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in VFX and real-time rendering.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a VFX Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional particle effects and simulation work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard VFX software such as Houdini, Maya, Blender, and After Effects.
- Experience with real-time engines like Unreal Engine or Unity and their VFX systems (Niagara, Shuriken).
- Strong understanding of visual effects principles, physics simulations, and lighting.
- Excellent artistic eye and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment, communicate clearly, and manage time efficiently.
