Senior VFX Compositor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior VFX Compositor to join their talented team in Derby . In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for seamlessly integrating visual effects elements into live-action footage and CG renders, creating visually stunning and believable final shots. You will work closely with the VFX supervisor and other artists to achieve the creative vision, ensuring a polished and high-quality output. Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality compositing of various VFX elements, including CG renders, matte paintings, and stock footage.
• Integrate visual effects seamlessly into live-action plates, ensuring continuity in lighting, color, and perspective.
• Color correct and grade shots to match the intended look and feel of the project.
• Collaborate with VFX supervisors and directors to achieve creative goals and address feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to compositing and integration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a VFX Compositor in film, television, or game development.
• Proficiency with industry-standard compositing software such as Nuke, After Effects, or similar.
• Strong understanding of color theory, lighting, perspective, and motion dynamics.
• Experience with rotoscoping, keying, tracking, and matte painting integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
