About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Vulnerability Management Analyst to join their growing security team in Derby . This role is crucial for identifying, assessing, and prioritizing security vulnerabilities across the organization's IT infrastructure. You will utilize advanced scanning tools, analyze results, and work with IT teams to ensure timely remediation, significantly reducing the organization's attack surface. This hybrid position allows for collaboration with onsite teams while providing flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and manage vulnerability scanning operations across all company assets.
- Analyze scan results to identify, prioritize, and report on security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT operations, development, and system administration teams to ensure timely and effective remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain vulnerability management policies , procedures, and reporting metrics.
- Stay informed about new vulnerabilities, threats, and exploitation techniques relevant to the organization.
- Provide expertise and guidance on vulnerability remediation best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in vulnerability management , penetration testing, or security analysis.
- Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7) and vulnerability management platforms.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, networks, and common application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
