Senior Well Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a key contributor to the Oil & Gas sector , is seeking a highly experienced Senior Well Integrity Engineer to join their dedicated team in Reading . This role is vital for ensuring the long-term integrity and safe operation of all wells throughout their lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing and implementing well integrity management systems, assessing risks, and recommending appropriate measures to prevent leakage and ensure containment. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining operational reliability and environmental protection, working within a collaborative and technically driven environment. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site presence and remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's Well Integrity Management System (WIMS).
• Conduct risk assessments and integrity reviews for wells, identifying potential failure mechanisms.
• Specify requirements for well barrier testing, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
• Oversee the design and execution of remedial operations for well integrity issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to well integrity.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operational teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in well engineering, with a specialization in well integrity .
• Strong knowledge of well components, cement evaluation, and downhole monitoring technologies.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and probabilistic analysis.
• Familiarity with relevant international standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 16530-1).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills , effective in a hybrid setting.
