Senior Well Integrity Engineer

About the Role

Our client seeks a dedicated Senior Well Integrity Engineer to join their asset integrity team in Reading . This role is critical for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of wells throughout their lifecycle, from drilling through abandonment. You will develop and implement well integrity management systems, conduct risk assessments, and oversee inspection and testing programs. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of well construction, downhole equipment, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to work collaboratively across engineering and operational disciplines in a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company's well integrity management system (WIMS).
• Conduct risk assessments and failure analyses related to well barriers and components.
• Plan and supervise well integrity testing, inspection, and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for well integrity.
• Provide technical guidance and support to drilling and production operations.
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives for well integrity.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in well integrity engineering or well operations.
• Strong knowledge of well construction, cementing, casing, and completion integrity.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, API) and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data for risk-based decision-making.
