Senior Wind Turbine Technician - Offshore

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Senior Wind Turbine Technician to join their offshore operations team based out of Leeds . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines at sea, ensuring maximum operational uptime and efficiency. You will work as part of a dedicated team, often in challenging offshore environments, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and adhering to strict safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled servicing on offshore wind turbines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing necessary repairs to restore functionality.
• Conduct pre- and post-maintenance testing and ensure all work is meticulously documented in the asset management system.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including working at height, confined space entry, and electrical safety protocols.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new wind turbine components and systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

• Recognized apprenticeship or vocational qualification in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Wind Turbine Technician, with specific experience on offshore turbines.
• Valid GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certificates (Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival).
• Strong understanding of wind turbine systems, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and control systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a demanding offshore environment.
• Valid offshore medical and full UK driving license.
