Service Technician - Industrial Equipment

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a diligent Service Technician specializing in Industrial Equipment to support their operations primarily in and around Sunderland, Tyne and Wear . This position involves traveling to various client sites to perform installations, maintenance, and repair services on sophisticated machinery. You will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' operational continuity and satisfaction by delivering expert technical support. This is a unique chance to leverage your skills in a demanding yet rewarding field, with the potential for remote oversight and flexible working arrangements offered within the Installation & Maintenance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and test industrial equipment at customer locations.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in industrial machinery.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to end-users on equipment operation.
• Maintain a detailed record of all service calls, including work performed and parts utilized.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role, with hands-on experience in industrial equipment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical principles.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagnostic readouts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
• A valid UK driving license and the flexibility to travel extensively across the Sunderland region.
