Site Civil Engineer - Construction Management

About the Role

Our client is seeking a practical and experienced Site Civil Engineer to join their construction management team in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK . This role is hands-on, focusing on the successful execution of civil engineering works on construction sites. You will be responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety standards, and quality control measures. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all civil engineering activities on site, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements, translating them into practical site instructions.
• Monitor progress of civil works, identifying and resolving any site-related issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site.
• Conduct quality control checks and testing of materials and workmanship.
• Liaise with the project manager, subcontractors, and site personnel to coordinate daily activities.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction management qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a site engineering or construction supervision role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, site surveying, and earthworks.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical documents.
• Awareness of health and safety legislation relevant to construction sites.
• Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
