About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Site Engineer to join their team on exciting major construction projects in and around Portsmouth . This hands-on role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of construction methodologies. You will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering and technical aspects of the project are planned, coordinated, and executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure developments and gain invaluable experience within a leading construction company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise site engineering activities, ensuring work is carried out according to design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain site control procedures, including setting out, surveying, and quality checks.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to resolve technical queries and site issues.
- Prepare and maintain site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and as-built information.
- Undertake risk assessments and method statements for site activities.
Requirements
- Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Site Engineer or similar role on construction projects.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and associated software.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage site teams effectively.
- Full UK driving license and ability to work full-time on construction sites in and around Portsmouth .
