About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Site Engineer - Mechanical Systems to join their remote engineering team. This position will focus on providing remote oversight, technical support, and project management for mechanical installations and maintenance across various client sites. You will utilize your expertise to analyze site reports, guide on-site teams through complex procedures, and ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to specification, all from a remote location. Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical guidance and support for the installation and maintenance of complex mechanical systems.
- Review and approve installation plans, technical documentation, and site reports submitted by on-site personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues remotely, offering solutions to site-based engineering teams.
- Conduct virtual site inspections and assessments using provided data and remote communication tools.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and field teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Develop and refine best practices for remote oversight of mechanical projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar mechanical engineering role with significant project oversight.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engineering principles, and installation methodologies.
- Proficiency in using CAD software, project management tools, and remote collaboration platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues remotely.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote environment based in or near Derby .
