Site Engineer – Data Centre Construction

Salary: €85,000–€90,000 + Package Location: Eemshaven, Netherlands Sector: Data Centre / Mission Critical Construction Employment: Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects across Europe.

The successful candidate will support day-to-day site delivery, coordinate construction activities and subcontractors, and ensure work is completed in accordance with technical drawings, project specifications, quality standards and health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to subcontractors, tradespeople and site operatives.

• Interpret construction drawings, site plans and Building Information Models (BIM).

• Oversee construction activities and monitor workmanship and quality.

• Carry out setting out, levelling and site surveying.

• Check drawings, dimensions, quantities and calculations for accuracy.

• Support site security and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.

• Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and other site resources.

• Manage and review design documentation supplied by the client.

• Monitor site progress and provide regular updates to the project management team and client.

• Plan work efficiently and help resolve technical issues, delays and construction challenges.

• Maintain accurate site records, inspection documentation and progress reports.

• Ensure all works comply with project specifications and company procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Degree, HNC or HND in a construction-related or engineering discipline, or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum three years' experience in a construction or engineering environment.

• Strong technical understanding of construction processes and site engineering.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.

• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

• Good IT, communication and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently, use initiative and meet tight deadlines while contributing effectively to a wider project team.
