Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and capable Site Engineer to join their construction team for projects in and around Norwich . This role involves working closely with the site management team to ensure accurate setting out, quality control, and technical support on site. You will be responsible for translating design information into practical construction on the ground, ensuring that works are completed to the required specifications and tolerances. This is an excellent entry to mid-level role for a developing engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry in Norfolk .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate setting out of structures, earthworks, and other site elements using surveying equipment.
• Undertake quality control checks and ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Monitor site activities, identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise.
• Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports and as-built information.
• Liaise with subcontractors and site teams to ensure clear communication of technical requirements.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
• Experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar technical role on construction sites.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and associated software.
• Good understanding of construction techniques and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
