Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Site Engineer to contribute to their ongoing construction projects in the picturesque coastal city of Plymouth . You will be responsible for setting out, managing, and supervising engineering and construction activities on-site. This role requires a practical understanding of engineering principles and the ability to ensure works are carried out safely, correctly, and efficiently according to design specifications. You will work closely with the Site Manager and construction teams, ensuring the technical integrity and quality of the works delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately set out the works using surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS).
• Interpret and implement design drawings and specifications on-site.
• Monitor and control the quality of construction works.
• Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
• Manage temporary works and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Assistant Site Engineer.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment and setting out procedures.
• Good understanding of construction materials and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
