Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and technically capable Site Engineer to support ongoing construction projects in Edinburgh . This hands-on role is fundamental to ensuring that construction activities on-site are executed accurately and efficiently according to design specifications. You will be responsible for setting out, surveying, and managing various aspects of the site engineering works, working closely with the site management team and subcontractors. This is an excellent entry to mid-level opportunity for an engineer keen to build a solid foundation in construction engineering and contribute directly to the successful delivery of building and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate setting out and survey work using total stations and GPS equipment.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with the latest drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Manage and implement the site's quality assurance plan.
• Monitor progress and report on site works, identifying any deviations from the plan.
• Undertake measurement of work executed and assist with the preparation of interim valuations.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar engineering role on construction sites.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and CAD software .
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a site team.
