Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a competent and diligent Site Engineer to join their construction team, working on projects based in and around Reading . You will be responsible for the technical execution of works on site, ensuring that construction activities are carried out to the correct specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to effectively manage site operations and survey tasks in the Berkshire region.

Key Responsibilities

• Set out, control, and manage construction works according to drawings and specifications.
• Ensure quality control and assurance procedures are followed on site.
• Conduct site surveys and measurements to verify progress and quantities.
• Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and direct labor on site.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Liaise with project managers, designers, and clients to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction engineering role.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and setting-out techniques.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
