Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client requires a diligent and technically adept Site Engineer to support their ongoing construction projects in Reading . This role is fundamental to the successful execution of site operations, ensuring that engineering and construction work is carried out to specifications, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for setting out, managing, and supervising construction activities, interpreting drawings, and liaising with site managers and surveyors. A proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills are essential for this hands-on position.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately set out sites and control engineering works according to drawings and specifications.
• Supervise and manage site engineers, survey teams, and operatives.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to technical standards throughout the construction process.
• Liaise with site management, clients, and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and issues.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and any deviations from the plan.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment and ensure its calibration.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Site Engineer on construction projects.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and CAD software.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
