Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Manager to oversee a variety of construction projects in and around Aberdeen . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage diverse teams effectively. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and resolving issues, maintaining excellent safety records, and fostering a collaborative working environment on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the day-to-day running of the construction site, including programming and sequencing of work.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations , implementing site-specific safety plans and conducting regular inspections.
• Manage and coordinate all on-site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, reporting any deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with specifications and building codes.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to address queries and ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project management principles, and relevant regulations.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices on construction sites.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications (e.g., CSCS card, SMSTS).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
